The Context

Grand Stade is a tourist attraction in a globally renowned ski resort which has a cosmopolitan clientele of over 3 million winter visitors.

The Brief

To improve the website’s global visibility and communicate the accessibility and fun nature of the business to encourage tourist participation.

To specifically and effectively target key international markets, improve product awareness and facilitate off-line engagement.

Strategy

Working within the constraints of the original design and build I targeted the following:

  • Bilingual, geographically targeted, keyword research.
  • New site taxonomy based on search demand in both languages.
  • New information architecture differentiating both languages.
  • New site navigation.
  • New bilingual copy to convert site visitors to customers.
  • Clear measurable CTA’s added to each page.
  • Layout changed to aid engagement.
  • Code simplified and optimised for the search engines.
  • Targeted 380% more keywords focussing on two languages.
